History Museum of Vienne
Exhibition Design for the History Museum of Vienne

The future History Museum of Vienne is set to become a flagship cultural project. At the crossroads of archaeology, fine arts, and urban history, it brings together several remarkable heritage sites — including the Saint-Pierre Church, the Saint-Georges archaeological site and church, and the former chapter house of the Saint-Pierre Abbey — into a single, cohesive visitor experience within a rehabilitated and expanded architectural ensemble.
Designed as a fluid and coherent space, the museum offers a sensitive dialogue between eras, architectures, and collections. The architectural design, led by Novembre Architecture, and the exhibition design, developed by Agence NC, articulate historic buildings and a contemporary extension into a seamless composition without rupture, conflict, or leftover spaces.

reciproque is responsible for the design, production, and implementation oversight of the museum’s audiovisual and multimedia installations. Our work spans the full process: exhibition content research, technology consulting, budget control, maintenance planning, technical documentation, and supervision of custom device fabrication.
We propose a wide range of interpretive tools and interfaces : from animated models and immersive murals to interactive installations and soundscapes, to create a rich, inclusive, and engaging visitor experience for all audiences. Each installation is conceived with sustainability in mind, favoring eco-design, energy efficiency, and optimized transport, in line with our commitment to sustainable cultural innovation.
