The Société de Livraison des Ouvrages Olympiques (SOLIDEO) was created in 2017 to fund, supervise, and deliver the infrastructure required for the organization of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, which will later be converted into housing, offices, and public facilities. Among its responsibilities is the delivery of the Athletes’ Village, spanning the cities of Saint-Denis, Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, and L’Île-Saint-Denis.

An artistic narrative for the Athletes' Village, titled “Courants Fertiles”, was developed by Gaël Charbau and Manifesto. This narrative takes the form of a trail of around fifteen permanent artworks, including six located in public spaces. Conceived as a poetic and empowering story for residents and users alike, it is structured around three main themes: History, Environment, and Diversity.

SOLIDEO entrusted reciproque with a project management assistance mission to support the strategy and implementation of the cultural mediation and transmission of the artistic program “Courants Fertiles”, in close collaboration with local partners, both during the pre-Olympic Games phase and the Legacy phase.

reciproque designed and led a series of initiatives, including:
– Workshops for young audiences (notably during the 2023 European Heritage Days)
– Training for cultural mediators
– Digital interpretive labels
– A short hiking guide
– An educational kit for teachers
– A podcast series exploring the trail and artworks
