Coordination mission for the digital project of the permanent exhibition route at the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design in Bordeaux
Located in the heart of Bordeaux, the madd-bordeaux is an open window to the world. Since 1924, the museum has occupied the Hôtel de Lalande, a private mansion built in the late 18th century, and has preserved its intimate atmosphere. It presents furniture and decorative art objects from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries, which make up the museum’s collections. The museum aims to welcome artists and designers who, more than anyone, can raise awareness of the upheavals our society is currently experiencing—one of the key roles of design being to accompany and reveal these transformations.
As part of the modernization project that will unify the museum’s buildings and reconfigure the visitor path, the madd-bordeaux sought to establish an updated, comprehensive, and shared vision of its digital services and content development strategy.
reciproque is supporting the madd-bordeaux in defining the multimedia programs for the future permanent exhibition. In collaboration with the museum's management and all stakeholders involved in the renovation, reciproque drafted the strategic orientation paper and the specifications for the devices that embody the vision of a museum that merges historical depth with the innovative spirit of object design.
