Fondation Bettencourt Schueller
Consulting, project management assistance, and editorial support for the overhaul of the digital communication strategy

The Fondation Bettencourt Schueller has been a public-interest foundation since 1987. It supports project leaders across France with a philanthropic spirit. Through awards and grants, as well as personalized guidance, the foundation—created by the Bettencourt Schueller family—supports outstanding initiatives in the fields of the arts, life sciences, and social solidarity. As one of the best-funded foundations in Europe, it has already supported over 500 award recipients and 1,500 projects.
As part of its development, the foundation enlisted reciproque to audit and redesign its digital communication strategy. In January 2022, reciproque conducted an audit and produced a recommendation report covering digital communication channels, editorial strategy, and SEO optimization of the former website.

It was decided to undertake a complete website overhaul to modernize it, enhance its visual appeal, and improve its technological performance. The redesign process took 12 months, during which the engagement strategy, the editorial tone of the magazine, the information architecture, and the site’s functionalities were all reimagined. reciproque led the project, coordinating writers, translators, and content database management.
In parallel, reciproque supported various departments within the foundation in managing the website’s development as well as the redesign of the newsletter, implementation of community engagement tools, CRM setup for event guests, and the design of a digital installation to showcase the foundation’s initiatives at its new headquarters.
By establishing success indicators early on, developing a clear implementation roadmap, and maintaining high quality standards, the foundation was able to reinforce its trust in reciproque and chose to continue the collaboration to ensure the consistency and success of its transformation.
