Designed by architect Jean Nouvel, the Musée du Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac opened its doors in 2006 with the aim of creating a unique place where visitors can discover and appreciate art, artefacts and the tangible and intangible heritage of non-Western peoples and civilizations.

In 2011, the multimedia information system comprised 138 audiovisual programs—or approximately 10 hours of film—, 20 multimedia installations, and a total of 2,039 audiovisual documents shared on a technical infrastructure, which the museum would like to update.

In 2011, the Musée du Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac asked Reciproque to conduct an audit to overhaul the distribution technical information system (200 terminals controlled by an IP network) and to redraft the maintenance processes.
