The Haute Tarentaise Community of Communes has joined the European Digi-Village project, an ALCOTRA micro-project carried out in partnership with the Italian municipality of Ayas (Italy). Its aim is to revitalise the promotion of Alpine heritage by exploring the potential of digital tools to showcase the region’s natural, historical and cultural riches, whilst fostering a simple, accessible approach tailored to contemporary needs.

reciproque supported the Community of Communes in a cultural and digital engineering project aimed at defining an operational outreach strategy.

The aim was to identify the most relevant digital solutions, assess their feasibility in light of local constraints, and propose a realistic roadmap for future investment. The project was based on an analysis of usage patterns, site visits and forward-looking analysis carried out in collaboration with Franco-Italian teams.

  • Assessment of heritage sites and tourist usage
  • Benchmarking of digital solutions applied to heritage
  • Definition of a digital engagement strategy centred on the visitor experience
  • Development of several scenarios for digital equipment and services
  • Development of a prioritised action plan and a roadmap for the project’s roll-out

reciproque’s approach combines cultural engineering, an understanding of user behaviour and expertise in digital technologies to design engaging visitor experiences that enhance a site’s appeal to tourists, whilst providing local authorities with solutions that are simple to operate and sustainable.
