Founded in 2014 in support of the Luma Arles project, the Luma Arles Foundation is currently building a cultural center in the Parc des Ateliers, located in the city of Arles, in collaboration with architects Frank Gehry and Annabelle Selldorf and landscaper Bas Smets. This ambitious project will create a multidisciplinary center dedicated to producing exhibitions and ideas, to research, education and archives. The main building is scheduled to open in 2020.

Maja Hoffmann, President of the Luma Foundation, wanted mediation for the construction project to share the details of the site’s ongoing progress and the Foundation’s cultural challenges. As a public gathering site, the Maison du Chantier is based on a 1:50 model of the site and an Oculus-Rift virtual tour of the buildings.

Reciproque’s mission was to set up the Maison du Chantier, design the digital communication tools used to put the project into context, create a web documentary, and develop the ergonomics of the virtual tour devices.
